Move crypto from Trust Wallet to your OPay account
Trust Wallet keeps your coins, but it cannot pay naira into a bank. Send USDT, Bitcoin or any supported coin from Trust Wallet to your Monica address, and Monica pays the naira into your OPay account within 60 seconds of the network confirming. No P2P buyer, no chat, no screenshot to check.
Six steps, one screen each
People search for a way to withdraw from Trust Wallet to OPay because the two apps do not talk to each other. Trust Wallet only moves crypto; OPay only holds naira. Monica sits between them. You never type an amount in Monica and there is no sell button. The crypto arrives, the naira goes out to OPay. The example below uses USDT, the coin most people hold in Trust Wallet; Bitcoin, ETH, BNB, SOL, TRX and USDC follow the same screens.
Add your OPay account in Monica
Open the Monica app, go to Bank accounts, choose OPay and type your OPay account number. Monica checks the account name against the number before it saves, so a wrong digit is caught here and not after the money has left.
Copy your Monica USDT address
Tap USDT in Monica and choose the network. TRC20 (Tron) is the one most people use because the network fee is small. Copy the address, or keep the screen open to scan it from Trust Wallet.
Open Trust Wallet and tap Send
On the Trust Wallet home screen tap Send and search for USDT. Trust Wallet lists a separate USDT token for each network, so pick the one on the same network as your Monica address. If Monica shows TRC20, choose USDT on Tron.
Paste the address and enter the amount
Paste your Monica address or scan the code, type the amount and review the screen. Trust Wallet shows the network fee here. A Tron transfer needs a small amount of TRX in the wallet to pay it; a BNB Smart Chain transfer needs a little BNB.
Confirm and let the network work
Tap Confirm. Tron usually confirms in about a minute, BNB Smart Chain in a few minutes. Monica credits naira to your balance within 60 seconds of the network confirming, at the live rate at that moment.
Withdraw to OPay
Tap Withdraw, choose your saved OPay account and the amount. The naira goes to OPay over NIBSS. Turn on automatic bank settlement in Monica and this step happens by itself every time a deposit confirms.
Before you press confirm in Trust Wallet
Choose the same network in both apps
Monica accepts USDT on TRC20 (Tron), ERC20 (Ethereum), BEP20 (BNB Smart Chain) and Solana. Trust Wallet names the network under the token, so USDT on Tron and USDT on BNB Smart Chain appear as two different entries. Pick the entry whose network matches the Monica address you copied. A transfer sent on a network Monica does not list for that coin may not be recoverable.
What it costs
Trust Wallet does not add a fee of its own for sending; you pay the blockchain network fee, shown before you confirm. On the Monica side the fees are 0% conversion fee and 0% bank withdrawal fee. Free deposits on USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, TRX and BNB. Bitcoin deposits carry a flat $2 fee. OPay does not charge you to receive a transfer.
Why OPay works like any other bank here
OPay is on NIBSS, the same rail every Nigerian bank uses for transfers, so Monica pays into it the way it pays into GTBank or Access. You add the account once, Monica checks the account name against the number, and from then on every payout lands there. Weekends and public holidays make no difference to the payout.
Verify once, then it is just sending
Monica verifies you with your NIN and a selfie the first time you open the app. After that there is nothing to approve per transaction. If you hold Bitcoin in Trust Wallet rather than USDT, tap BTC in Monica instead, send on the Bitcoin network, and allow the usual Bitcoin confirmation time before the naira appears.
Questions people ask
Can I withdraw from Trust Wallet straight to OPay?
Not directly. Trust Wallet is a self custody wallet. It holds your coins and sends them to other crypto addresses, but it has no naira payout. To reach OPay you send the crypto to your Monica address, Monica converts it to naira when the network confirms, and the naira goes to your OPay account like any other bank on NIBSS.
How do I get USDT out of Trust Wallet into OPay?
Add your OPay account in Monica, copy your Monica USDT address on the network you want, then open Trust Wallet, tap Send, pick the USDT on that same network, paste the address and confirm. The naira reaches your OPay account within 60 seconds of the network confirming, or you tap Withdraw if automatic settlement is off.
How long does it take for naira to reach OPay?
Count two waits. The network confirms your transfer first, which is usually about a minute on Tron and a few minutes on BNB Smart Chain or Ethereum. Monica then pays the naira within 60 seconds of the network confirming. OPay receives over NIBSS, so the credit usually shows in the OPay app moments after Monica sends it.
How do I get USDT out of Trust Wallet in general?
Any USDT in Trust Wallet can be sent to any address on the same network. Tap Send, choose the USDT token, paste the receiving address, type the amount and confirm. You need a little of the network coin for the fee, so TRX for Tron or BNB for BNB Smart Chain. Sending it to Monica is how you turn it into naira.
How much is $1 on Trust Wallet in naira?
Trust Wallet shows your balance in dollars from a price feed, but it does not pay naira, so it has no naira rate of its own. The naira you receive is set by Monica's live rate at the moment the network confirms your deposit. Check the rate calculator in the app before you send so you know what the transfer is worth.
Is there a minimum amount?
The minimum deposit on Monica is $5 worth of crypto, shown in the app beside each coin. Trust Wallet has no minimum of its own, but the network fee stays the same whatever the amount, so very small Tron or BNB Smart Chain transfers lose a larger share to the fee. For OPay payouts there is no extra minimum.
Do I need to verify before the naira can reach OPay?
Yes. Verification on Monica is your NIN and a selfie, done once in the app. After that you add your OPay account, Monica checks the account name against the number, and every later payout goes to that saved account. There is no separate verification for OPay beyond what OPay itself asked when you opened the account.
What if I chose the wrong network in Trust Wallet?
Stop and check before you confirm, because the network cannot be changed after sending. If it has already gone, email [email protected] with the transaction hash. Recovery is sometimes possible on networks Monica supports for that coin and not possible on networks it does not, which is why both apps must show the same network.
