Barcelona won the 2025-26 La Liga title, their 29th in total, securing the championship on May 10 2026 with three matches to spare following a 2-0 win against Real Madrid, capping a season in which they were the dominant force from start to finish. It was their second consecutive title, making them the reigning back-to-back champions of Spain, and they enter this campaign with genuine hopes of completing a three-peat.
Their squad is built around Lamine Yamal, the league’s most valuable player, who just won the World Cup with Spain at 16 years old and has become the most exciting footballer on the planet, complemented by additions including Gordon and Adeyemi to what was already one of the most complete attacking units in European football.
