Super Falcons Are Through and Egypt Never Saw It Coming

There are wins and there are statements, and what the Super Falcons produced in Casablanca on Tuesday against Egypt was firmly the second kind, a 6-2 demolition that answered every question raised by their opening defeat to Malawi and sent a message to every team left in the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations that Nigeria's ten-time African champions are not done yet, not even close.

Six goals, Four penalties, Fifty-nine percent possession. Contributions from Oshoala, Monday, Kanu, Ucheibe, Ajibade and Omewa, a spread of scorers that speaks to the depth and collective quality of a squad that looked uncertain after Malawi and looked unstoppable against Egypt.

The Super Falcons are in the WAFCON 2026 quarter-finals, they are in form, and the tournament's remaining teams have been served notice.
